Children's Allergies

Children's allergies cause reactions to foods, sensitivities and gluten intolerances. There is help for Children’s Allergies. First you must identify that your child has allergies. Then you have to identify, though allergy testing, food/feeling journal and elimination diet, what the allergic foods are. After this, you can build their systems and reintroduce certain foods to see if anything has changed.

Some of the symptoms of children's allergies are: Eczema. Psoriasis , hives, flushing of the face, dark circles under the eyes, ear infection, itchy nose, itchy ears, diarrhea, indigestion, weight loss or weight gain, depression, hyperactivity, anemia, nausea, constipation, joint pain, brain confusion, irritability and more.

You can either your children tested through a professional allergy tester, or keep a food and feeling journal for at least a week. Record everything your child eats or drinks and every symptom they experience. Look for their cravings and what they eat a lot of, as that is often what they are reacting to. Once you have it in front of you on paper, it will be easier to find correlations in your children's allergies.

Then you have to eliminate the suspected allergic foods from their diet. You’ll have to read all the labels and take all dairy, wheat, gluten, corn, chocolates, nuts or whatever else you suspect out of their diet. Take the allergic food out of their diet for at least a week so see if their symptoms improve. After a period of time, you can reintroduce the food to see if anything has changed. If you child has serious allergic reactions, their throat closes up or they are reacting to Gluten, as in Celiac, then you’ll have to keep them off the substance permanently.

What can you do to build their systems? You can give them Digestive Enzymes with their meals, a natural children’s Multi-vitamin pill, a naturally flavoured children’s Fish oil, Pro-biotics (Acidophilus), take them to a Chiropractor and make sure they are not having anxiety or stress while eating.

Allergies, Sensitive’s, Gluten Intolerance (Celiac Disease), are more common than you think and there doesn’t have to be a history of allergies in the family for a child to have allergies themselves, although a family history makes it more likely. There are many foods on the market now geared towards people with allergies and there are many more recipes, so it isn’t as difficult as you think and you’ll have a much happier and healthier child after you eliminate the foods they are allergic to.
